Ryan Robinson ’99 was a four-year starter for the USMMA men’s basketball team who helped lead the Mariners to postseason action during all four of his seasons at Kings Point, starting with a trip to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship Game his freshman year in 1996, followed by three-straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament (1997-1999). A 1,000-point scorer, Robinson ranked 21st in program history with 1,111 career points at the time of his induction. He was the academy’s all-time leader in assists with 574 helpers and also ranked fourth in academy history with 183 career steals, eighth with 169 three-pointers and is tied for eighth with 298 free throws made. Three of the program’s top-10 single season bests for assists belong to Robinson, and he has the sixth-best single-season total for steals. A star in the classroom as well, Robinson won both the ECAC Scholar-Athlete and ECAC Merit Awards his first class year.
