Michael Sullivan ’85 was a four-year starter and two-year team captain who helped lay the groundwork in the early days of the Kings Point men’s lacrosse program. By the time he graduated, Sullivan set program records with 239 points and 174 goals, which stood for 18 and 22 years, respectively. He led the Mariners to the post season for the first time in program history when they reached the ECAC Tournament his First Class year in 1985. Upon induction, Sullivan remains the only Mariner to play professional lacrosse, as he was selected to play for the New York Saints of the Major Indoor Lacrosse League after graduation. An all-around athlete, he also represented Team USA on the US Olympic Handball Team at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul.
