Peter “Rocky” Curtis ’99 was a leader of the Kings Point men’s lacrosse team during the late 1990s and was instrumental in creating a winning culture for the program. An aggressive player on both sides of the ball, Curtis made his presence known though face-offs, goals and a voracious appetite for ground balls. He made an immediate impact for the Mariners right from his plebe season, as he was named the Hudson Valley Lacrosse League Rookie of the Year. Curtis earned All-Maritime Tournament Team honors all four years, including being named Tournament MVP his junior and senior seasons. He also garnered Team MVP accolades his junior and senior year after finishing his career with back-to-back 50-goal seasons in 1998 and 1999. After leading the Mariners to two-straight ECAC Tournament Championship Games, Curtis was named to the ECAC All-Tournament Team in 1999. At the time of his induction, he remains in the top-10 in the Academy record books in all-time points, goals and ground balls.
