Michael Logan ’83 was a four-year starting linebacker and a team captain for the Kings Point football program who was the 1983 recipient of the Academy’s Admiral Giles C. Stedman Trophy. Despite playing against teams that would soon join the NCAA Division I ranks, Logan was recognized as an All-American by two different organizations, College Sports Information Directors of America and the Associated Press, after his first class season in 1982. He was a multiple-time Defensive Player of the Week and Weekly Honor Roll selection throughout his career, and earned the program’s Defensive Player of the Year Award twice as well as the Team MVP Award after the 1982 season. In addition to his athletic excellence, Logan also excelled academically, as he was selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team in 1981 and 1982.
