Edward Russell was a three-sport athlete for Kings Point en route to winning the Stedman Trophy in 1957.  Russell won four letter in football and two each in wrestling and track. In football, he was named an Honorable Mention Selection to the Little All-American Football Team after starting at end on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball in his senior year. He competed at the 177 and 192 pound weight classes in wrestling, registering the fastest pin of the 1956-57 season. Russel captained the 1957 track team while competing in discus, shotput, hammer, and the 440 run.
