Donald Collar, a former Kings Point Regimental Commander, earns a spot in the Athletic Hall of Fame following a successful baseball career with the Mariners’ nine. He accumulated a 17-5 overall record during three seasons on the mound as the team compiled a 21-11 ledger. At the plate, Don had a career batting average better than .300. The highlight of Don’s collegiate playing days came when the Blue and Gray battled to a thrilling 2-1 victory over St. John’s, who went on to play in the College World Series with a 25-9 record, during the 1966 campaign.
