John Biezup was a three-year letterwinner for the football and wrestling teams. As a senior, he received the Adm. Giles C. Stedman Award and the Capt. Hugh Andrews Memorial Award.  Biezup was a three-year starter and was the defensive signal caller for the Mariners in 1950.  He was named All-Long Island in 1950 and was the only plebe to play in all eleven games in 1947.
