United States Merchant Marine Academy

As a rookie starting quarterback during his Plebe year in 1969, David Buzanoski ’73 led the Kings Point football team to its only ECAC Lambert Cup Championship in program history as the best Division III small college team in the East with a 7-2 record. He was the team’s starting quarterback all four seasons at the Academy and set numerous passing records during his time on the gridiron. Buzanoski served as the squad’s co-captain during his senior season in 1972 along with fellow classmate and USMMA Athletics Hall of Famer Joe Rizzo ’73. He lettered four years in football and one year in crew.
