United States Merchant Marine Academy

Hank Zeile was recognized as the top athlete of his senior class in 1960 when he was awarded the Admiral Giles Stedman Trophy. A four-year letter winner with the track and field team, Zeile guided the team to numerous conference championships and top finishes with his outstanding skills and talents in the throwing events. Zeile, who held the Academy record in the hammer throw for nearly 30 years, was the Metropolitan AAU champion in his junior and senior seasons. During his time at Kings Point, Zeile captured eight first place, six second place, and two third place finishes.
