Brown was an Admiral Giles C. Stedman Trophy Winner in 1977 after leading the Mariners football team to a 21-6 career record in his three seasons as a starter in the backfield. In his junior season Brown led the Metropolitan Conference in rushing and scoring as Kings Point posted a 7-2 record. He established a new single-game rushing record, rushing for 232 yards versus New York Tech, along with three single season records in that 1975 season. Brown set single-season marks of 1,100 yards rushing, 90 points, and 15 touchdowns. Ranked third in the nation in scoring and eighth in rushing yards, he was named the Metropolitan Conference “Player of the Year”. IN his senior season, Brown led the team in scoring (42 points) and receiving (21 catches) en route to being named to the Metropolitan Conference First All-Star Team for the second consecutive season. When he accepted the Stedman Trophy, Brown owned seven Academy rushing records. His career records listed rushing yards (2,396), scoring (186), and touchdowns (31).
