Larry Jordan ’86 was a standout for the USMMA men’s basketball team during the mid-1980’s. He served as the squad’s co-captain his senior season in 1985-86 and was named the Mariners’ Most Valuable Player that year. Throughout his career, Jordan was a 1,000-point scorer (1,132 points) and was the Academy’s all-time leader with 565 career assists upon graduation. He also had the highest free throw shooting percentage for a season and career upon graduation.  During his junior season at Kings Point, he helped lead the team to its best season to-date, going 20-8 and earning a berth in the ECAC Tournament Final. Jordan earned MVP honors at the USMMA Tip-Off Tournament in 1985 and was an ECAC All-Metropolitan Team selection three times in his career – from his sophomore season through his senior year.
