Hall of Fame
Over the course of her career at Kings Point, Laura (Jenkins) Springer ’04 would hold seven different Academy records and break those records 14 times in her four years of swimming. These records included three individual races and four relay records that she shared with her teammates. She won at least eight different events in her four-year career at the Skyline Conference Championships, leading the Mariners to the overall conference crown in the 2003-2004 season which was the first victory for USMMA in four years. She was named the Skyline Conference Most Outstanding Swimmer in 2004 and finished in the top-ten among all college juniors at the International Swimming Hall of Fame’s Ocean Mile Swim in 2003. For her superb efforts in the pool, she was voted “Mariner of the Meet” by her coaches and peers a total of ten times over her final three seasons of competition.
