KINGS POINT, N.Y. (May 7, 2025) – Three members of the USMMA men's tennis team were named to the All-Skyline Teams when the Skyline Conference recently announced the post-season awards and all-conference teams for the 2025 season. Senior RJ Novak (Yorktown, Va.) was selected to the First Team All-Skyline, while sophomore Patrick Novotny (Fort Worth, Texas) and freshman Fredrich Buquel (Mission, Texas) garnered Second Team praise.
 
Novak has now earned All-Conference recognition during all four of his seasons at Kings Point, as he was a Second Team selection the past three years. The senior earned weekly praise from the Skyline twice throughout the year, as he was the Player of the Week once and also landed on the weekly honor roll one time. He finished the 2025 season with a 7-5 overall record in singles action, including a 3-2 mark in Skyline Conference matches. Novak also won four doubles matches, including two in Skyline action.
 
Novotny earned one weekly honor roll nod from the Skyline Conference throughout the season. He ranked second on the Mariners with nine singles victories, as he boasted a 9-2 record and was a perfect 3-0 in Skyline action. The sophomore was also 4-1 in doubles matches.
 
Buquel was honored three times by the Skyline throughout the year, once as the Rookie of the Week and twice on the weekly honor roll. He won a team-best 10 singles matches and eight doubles matches, going 4-1 in singles in conference action and 2-2 in doubles in league play.
