NEWBURGH, N.Y. (Nov. 16, 2024) – The USMMA women's swimming & diving team opened the 2024-25 season with a quad-meet sweep of Skyline Conference opponents Mount St. Mary (147-46), Sarah Lawrence (140-54) and SUNY Maritime (160-24) this past Saturday at Mount St. Mary's Kaplan Center Pool.
Additionally, the Skyline Conference announced on Tuesday morning that freshman
Megan Hu (Syosset, N.Y.) was named the league's Swimmer of the Week, while classmate
Haley Martin (Murrieta, Calif.) earned Rookie of the Week honors. To read the full release from the Skyline Conference,

- The 200 medley relay "A" team of freshman Georgia Magditch (Allentown Pa.), Hu, Martin and junior Jessica Felske (East Troy, Wis.) in 1:56.21.
- Sophomore Isabel Lunsford (Burnet, Texas) in the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 11:41.74.
- Felske in Women's 50 Freestyle in 26.21.
- Hu picked up her first two collegiate victories in Women's 200 IM and 100 butterfly in 2:16.03 and 1:02.40, respectively.
- Martin notched her first collegiate win in the Women's 100 freestyle in 58.29.
- Magditch in Women's 100 backstroke in 1:04.29
- Lunsford in 500 freestyle in 5:40.81
- Felske in 100 backstroke in 1:10.88
- Seniors Haley Agin (Roswell, Ga.) and Laura Sherrill (Ketchikan, Alaska) and sophomores Kayleigh Rogers (Kodiak, Alaska) and Lunsford in women's 200 freestyle relay "A" team in 1:46.62.
Sherrill was named the "Mariner of the Meet," awarded based on a team vote to an individual for their performance and contribution to the team.
The USMMA women's swimming & diving team returns to action at the TCNJ Invitational beginning Friday, Nov. 22 and concluding on Sunday, Nov. 24.
