KINGS POINT, N.Y. (July 10, 2025) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's swimming and diving team was recently selected to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the 2024-25 season. For the Mariners, this is the 10th straight season that the team has earned this accolade.
"I'm proud of our team for achieving one of our top goals by performing at a high level both in the pool and in the classroom," said Swimming & Diving Head Coach Commander
Sean M. Tedesco. "Their dedication, discipline, and drive continue to set a high standard on every level."
In order to qualify for the prestigious Scholar All-America Team recognition, the men's team had to earn a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0. The Blue and Gray featured 31 participants on the team that boasted a 3.0 term GPA.
A total of 763 teams from 432 DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA institutions were named to the Scholar All-America Teams for the Spring 2025 semester. To view a list of all the teams honored, click here.
