Konnor Bye (Liberty Hill, Texas) broke the program's indoor long jump record again on Friday afternoon to lead the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's track and field team at the Fastrack National Invite on Friday afternoon at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

Bye broke the program's 12-year old record a month ago with a leap of 6.94 (22' 9.25") at the Ramapo Opener. He rewrote the program record books on his fifth jump with a leap of 7.06m (23' 2"), finishing third at the event, first among DIII jumpers, and his mark wound up ranking him 21st in the nation in the event. Bye also registered a top 10 finish in the triple jump finishing eighth with a leap of 13.47m (44' 2.25").

Michael Lyon (Jacksonville, Fla.) posted a new season-best in the one-mile run, as he crossed the finish line in 4:47.73, and freshman
Colin Robertson (Milford, Mich.) set a new personal best in the 200 meter with a time of 24.36.

Easton Millard (Scottsdale, Ariz.) also set a new personal best in the shot put with a throw of 11.55m (37' 10.75")
