KINGS POINT, N.Y. (May 7, 2025) – A total of nine members of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's lacrosse team earned post-season accolades recently when the Skyline Conference announced the All-Skyline Teams and major award winners for the 2025 season. Fourth-year head coach
Dan Paccione was selected by his peers as the Co-Coach of the Year for the second-straight year, while eight Mariners landed on the two All-Skyline Teams.

Owen Behr (Vestavia Hills, Ala.) and sophomore defender
Jake Rossman (Apple Valley, Minn.) garnered First Team recognition, while the Second Team featured senior attackman
Jack Collins (Memphis, Tenn.), junior attackman
Owen Barcus (Annapolis, Md.), senior midfielder
Michael Emerick (Damascus, Md.), junior defender
Michael Valentine IV (Massapequa Park, N.Y.), freshman long-stick midfielder
William Schipfer (Colorado Springs, Colo.), freshman short-stick defensive midfielder
James Dobson Jr. (West Palm Beach, Fla.) and sophomore goalie
Julian Garcia (Lakeway, Texas).

Behr earns his second-straight All-Skyline First Team honor. He was recognized by the Skyline three times during the regular season, once as the Offensive Player of the Week and two times on the weekly honor roll. The sophomore ranks 41st in NCAA Division III and first in the conference with 4.88 points per game, 46th in the nation and first in the Skyline with 3.00 goals per game and is third in the conference with 1.88 assists per game.

Rossman, who is tasked with defending each opponents' best players, was selected as the Skyline Defensive Player of the Week once this season. The sophomore ranks 14th in the Skyline and is first on the Mariners with 17 caused turnovers. He also scooped up 22 groundballs on the year.

Collins has been an All-Conference selection all three previous seasons, landing on the First Team in both 2022 and 2023 and the Second Team in 2024, and he was also the 2022 Skyline Rookie of the Year. The senior ranks second in the Skyline with 2.00 assists per game, third with 3.94 points per game and 14th with 1.94 goals per game.

Barcus was the 2023 Skyline Rookie of the Year and was a Second Team selection in 2023 and a First Teamer in 2024. This season, he ranks second in the Skyline with 2.50 goals per game, fourth with 3.93 points per game and ninth with 1.43 assists per game.

Emerick earns his second-career All-Skyline selection, as he was on the First Team back in 2023. The senior is fourth on the team with 40 points on 30 goals and 10 assists.

Valentine ranks fourth on the squad with 12 caused turnovers on the season and has also scooped up 13 ground balls.

Schipfer is third on the team with both 49 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers. The freshman also scored one goal on the year and won 11 face-offs in 18 attempts.

A big part of the Mariners' clear game, Dobson scooped up 20 ground balls and caused five turnovers on the season.

Garcia has the third-best goals against average in the Skyline (10.36), while his .500 saves percentage is good for fifth in the league. He's also picked up 28 ground balls and caused four turnovers throughout 2025.
