FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (April 12, 2026) – The USMMA tennis team dropped a 7-0 Skyline Conference match at Farmingdale State on Sunday afternoon. The Mariners moved to 5-3 overall (4-1 Skyline), while the Rams improved to 5-5 (3-0 Skyline).

Merchant Marine picked up a win at #1 doubles, as Fredrich Buquel (Mission, Texas) and Brent Mathews (Williamsburg, Va.) earned a 6-3 victory, but Farmingdale State claimed the doubles point with wins at the second and third flights.
 
KP was unable to secure a point in singles play despite freshman Keegan Dutton (Temple, Texas) battling to three sets at #4, while sophomore Aaron Zhao (Temple City, Calif.) at #3 and freshman Zach Diep (Oxnard, Calif.) at #5 both had one set they forced their opponents to win a seventh game.
 
The Mariners return to action on Tuesday, April 14, when they host non-conference opponent Brooklyn College at 4 p.m. in Kings Point for their annual 142 Match.
