FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (Oct. 22, 2025) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's soccer team battled Farmingdale State to a 0-0 tie on Wednesday night at Rams Field. The result keeps the Mariners unbeaten in Skyline Conference play, moving to 9-3-3 overall and 8-0-2 in the league, while the Rams stand at 6-9-3 (5-2-2 Skyline).

Both teams created quality scoring chances throughout the match. Farmingdale State appeared to take the lead late in the first half, but the goal was waved off for an offside violation.

In the second half, each side had dangerous opportunities, including a chance off a corner kick for the Mariners by sophomore
Jayme Santasiero (Houston, Texas) that was turned aside. That was followed a few minutes later by a header off the crossbar and a blocked shot off a corner for Farmingdale State.

Seniors
Morgan Mitchell (Amory, Miss.) and
Emma Cox (Huntingtown, Md.) led the attack with a combined five shots, while sophomore
Lauren Enterline (Harrisburg, Pa.) added two shots, one on goal.

The Mariners will return home to Bartoszek Field on Saturday, Oct. 25, to host Sarah Lawrence in their regular season-finale beginning at noon.
