TEANECK, N.J. (Oct. 13, 2024) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men's soccer team won its road Skyline Conference contest over Yeshiva University, 1-0, on Sunday evening at Fairleigh Dickinson University. The triumph moves the Mariners' record to 8-4-2 (5-1-2 Skyline), while the Maccabees fall to 4-5-2 (4-4-2 Skyline) in defeat.

Andrew Jung (Fairfax, Va.) scored what stood as the game-winner in the 51st minute.
The Mariners outshot Yeshiva, 21-10, throughout the game, including an 8-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Ethan Howell (Alexandria, Va.) made four saves for his second-straight shutout. Howell has not allowed a goal since Sept. 24.
His counterpart for the Maccabees, grad student Kellian Marty, made seven stops over the 90 minutes in the losing effort.
Up next, USMMA travels up to face Manhattanville University on Saturday, Oct. 19. Kickoff is scheduled for noon at GoValiants.com Field in Purchase, N.Y.
