Men’s Lacrosse Gets First Skyline Win At Farmingdale

FARMINGDALE, N.Y - The United States Merchant Marine Academy men's lacrosse program finished what the women's team started earlier Saturday morning, giving the lacrosse teams two wins on the same field against different opponents only hours apart during a 15-8 win over the Rams.

The Blue and Gray played a clean contest with a season-low nine turnovers while turning around and forcing its highest total of turnovers for the campaign at 13 to double up FSU with a plus-9 margin (18-9).

Mark Bredeck was the enforcer on defense, causing a Mariners 2023  single-game high and career-best four Rams miscues while also grabbing five grounders.

Chris Neuman led The Academy with nine faceoff wins and six ground balls to go along with a pair of forced turnovers.

The points leader was Michael Emerick with a trio of foals and a pair of assists while Carter Hall gained all four of his points directly through scores.

Samuel Stephenson stopped 13 shots while ceding just eight goals, finishing the afternoon with a 61.9% save rate and his third dub of the season.

USMMA will need to put up a "Valiant" effort in its next matchup on Tuesday at 4 p.m. on the campus of Manhattanville.
