PURCHASE, N.Y. (April 11, 2023) – The USMMA men's lacrosse team received 17 combined points from the dynamic duo of
Jack Collins (Memphis, Tenn.) and
Owen Barcus (Annapolis, Md.) as the Blue and Gray moved to within one game of .500 during a 16-11 road victory at Manhattanville.

Merchant Marine logged season-highs for man-up scores (3), ground balls (61), and caused turnovers (14) while winning more faceoffs (18-13) as well as doubling up the Valiants in total shots (56-28).

Collins had a performance to remember, recording a career-best seven assists and six ground balls while leading all participants with nine points as he scored twice too.

Barcus racked up eight points to sit just behind his teammate, doing most of his damage with a campaign-most seven goals as four of them came off the stick of Collins' helpers. He registered season-bests for shots (17), SOG (12), goals (7), points (8), and caused turnovers (2).

Mark Bredeck (Severna Park, Md.) joined the party of new personal-bests, doing so regarding caused turnovers with a contest-best five on top of six grounders.

Maverick Geller (Hood River, Ore.) and
Michael Hofstetter (Deer Park, N.Y.) tied for the ground ball lead at eight apiece while
Chris Neuman (South Huntington, N.Y.) triumphed in 12 of his 17 faceoffs (70.6%).
The Mariners will honor its three seniors;
Samuel Stephenson (Boca Raton, Fla.),
Chris Soo (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), and
