Merchant Marine won the ground ball war (30-26) and capitalized on one more man-up opportunity, cashing in on 3-of-7 (42.9%) while the Hawks went 2-for-7 (28.6%).

A trio of student-athletes led the scoring for USMMA as all of freshman
William Badeer (Pittsburgh, Pa.) (three goals), senior
Carter Hall (Annapolis, Md.) (three goals) and freshman
Jack DeTommaso (Massapequa, N.Y.) (two goals, one assist) logged three points each.

Jack Collins (Memphis, Tenn.) was the lone Mariner to have multiple assists with two while DeTomasso, classmate
Michael Emerick (Damascus, Md.) and freshman
Owen Barcus (Annapolis, Md.) both picked up one helper each.

Maverick Geller (Hood River, Ore.) claimed the most grounders with five and freshman
Michael Valentine IV (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) played physically by forcing three Seahawks turnovers.

Sophomore
Chris Neuman (South Huntington, N.Y.) took control of nine of the Mariners' ten faceoff wins as freshman
Adam Johnson (Canton, Ohio) won the other.
