WEST POINT, N.Y. (Feb. 18, 2023) – The USMMA women's track & field team competed at the West Point Tune-Up, hosted by Army on Saturday. There were no team scored kept at the meet, but the Mariners manufactured a trio of top-three finishes on the day, including one season-best mark.

Senior
Kira Porzio (Palo Cedro, Calif.) cleared her season-best height in the high jump with a leap of 1.65m, and had to go into a jump-off against Army's Isabella Palchak to determine first place in the event. Palchack just out-jumped Porzio in the jump-off, leaving Porzio with an impressive second-place finish in the field of nine jumpers.

Veronica Richards (Cincinnati, Ohio) had a second-place finish of her own in the 1000m run with a time of 3:44.44, while the 4x400m relay team of seniors
Skyler Burnham (Reading, Pa.),
Sarah Lyon (Battle Creek, Mich.),
Sayra Raya (Wasco, Calif.) and Richards came in third place in 4:46.98.
