KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Oct. 25, 2021) – The Skyline Conference announced the weekly award winners for women's volleyball for the week ending Oct. 24 on Monday and USMMA junior
Paige Smith (Virginia Beach, Va.) was selected as the league's Player of the Week. The recognition comes after her performances in the Mariners' two Skyline sweeps last week.
Smith led Merchant Marine with 3.50 kills per set over six sets (21 total kills) in the pair of sweeps – on the road at SUNY Maritime on Tuesday and home against Yeshiva on Thursday. The junior hit at a .432 clip on the week (21k-5e-37ta), while also picking up 2.00 digs per set (12 total) and two service aces.

The Mariners will take on non-conference opponent William Paterson this coming Thursday night, Oct. 28, beginning at 7 p.m. inside the Liebertz Gymnasium. The USMMA volleyball team will be wearing their pink jerseys for the
match as part of Dig Pink Night in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Live stats and a live video feed of the match will be available with links on
