Before USMMA: Drake earned varsity letters on the basketball and volleyball courts during her time at Sachem East High School. She served as team capatain as well as being named team MVP, earning All-League honors, and receiving the New York State Sportsmanship Award. Drake was amember of the 2009 New York State Championship team and helped her team to a 2012 appearance in the state finals as well as berths in the 2010 and 2011 County Championships. In the classroom, she received the Principal's Award and is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Science National Honor Society.
