As A Sophmore (2014): Was named Landmark Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on September 22nd.

Before USMMA: Maier earned four varsity letters at Kecoughtan High School and was named Team MVP as a senior as well as Second-Team All-Region.  He was also a two-time First-Team All-District selection and led his team to three Peninsula District Regular Season Championships and one Tournament Championship.  Maier is a member of the National Honor Society as well as Phi Theta Kappa.
