Before USMMA: Buck was a three-year letterwinner in basketball, two-year letterwinner in baseball...in his Junior year he was a part of the: Honorable Mention, All-County, and Second Team All-Region squad...was also a part of a team that was a Region Runner-Up, a part of the Stat Tournament team and a member of the team that won the Deep South Classic...in his Senior year he was listed on the: First Team All-County, First Team All-Region, Region Championship and MVP...he was also a part of the Kreul Classic National Tournament Championship squad...was a part of the Region 7-5A Championship squad which gave number one Norcross their first loss to an in-state team in over two years...was also a part of the three-time defending state championship squad and the state tournament team...was a part of a baseball team that was the Regional Champions and State Tournaments in his senior year...was also a Peer Leader in his Senior year...played one year as a true Freshman at DII North Georgia College and State University.
