With the victory, the Mariners improved to 9-7-1 overall. Following the loss, the Bears dropped to 3-13 on the year.
April 3, 2011 Baseball Drops Doubleheader to Moravian, 7-1, 8-5 BETHLEHEM, Pa. – On Sunday, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy baseball team stumbled against Landmark Conference-foe Moravian College in twinbill action, 7-1 and 8-5 at Gillepsie Field in Bethlehem, Pa. The Greyhounds improved to 16-6 overall and 8-1 in conference action, while the Mariners fell to 8-7-1 overall and 3-5-1 in league play.
April 2, 2011 Baseball Drops Conference Clash to Moravian, 7-1 BETHELEM, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon, the United States Merchant Marine Academy baseball team struggled both offensively and in the field as the Mariners fell to Moravian College in Landmark Conference action, 7-1 at Gillespie Field in Bethlehem, Pa. With the win, the Greyhounds improved to 14-6 overall and 6-1 in the league. Following the loss, the Mariners dropped to 8-5-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the conference.
April 1, 2011 Baseball Schedule Change for This Weekend vs. Moravian KINGS POINT, N.Y. - Due to the uncertainty in weather this weekend, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy baseball team will now play one game tomorrow against Landmark Conference-foe Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa. starting at 3:00 p.m. Then, on Sunday, Kings Point will square off against the Greyhounds in doubleheader action beginning at 12:00 p.m.
March 30, 2011 Baseball Keeps on Rolling, Defeats Staten Island, 4-3 STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – On Wednesday, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy baseball team bested the College of Staten Island, 4-3 at the CSI Baseball Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. With the win, the Mariners improved to 8-4-1 overall, while the Dolphins fell to 9-7 on the year.
Warren Hartmann Named to All-Conference First Team, Honored as Landmark’s Rookie of the Year MADISON, N.J. – On Wednesday morning, the Landmark Conference office released its 2011 baseball all-conference selections and USMMA freshman Warren Hartmann was named to the All-Conference First Team as a second baseman. In addition, the Wyckoff native was honored with the league’s Rookie of the Year award.
