DANBURY, Conn. (May 16, 2018) – On Wednesday, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced the postseason honors and All-ECAC Teams for Division III Men's Lacrosse and USMMA had two student-athletes represented on the All-ECAC First Team – senior attackman Nick Treon (Danville, Pa.) and freshman face-off specialist Kyle Buser (Babylon, N.Y.).
Treon, who was named the Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Skyline First Team last week, is currently the NCAA Statistical Leader in points per game with 6.41ppg with just two weekends left in the DIII season. He also ranks in the top-20 among all Division III players in two other categories, as he is seventh in the nation with 3.06 assists per game and 16th in the country with 3.35 goals per game. Treon became the USMMA All-Time MLAX Program Leader for career points, as he finished his time at Kings Point with 286 points on 141 goals and 145 assists.
Like Treon, Buser was also selected to the All-Skyline Conference First Team last week. The Mariners' primary face-off man and Division I transfer currently ranks second in the nation with a .753 face-off winning percentage. He is also third among all Division III players with 11.65 groundballs per game. Buser was selected as the Skyline Player of the Week and earned a spot on the USILA National Team of the Week for the week ending March 25. He was one of three Mariners this season to land on the National Team of the Week (Treon was the first for the week ending March 11 and senior Pat Coll (Clifton Park, N.Y.) earned the accolade for the week ending April 8).
