The USMMA Mariners baseball program and Head Coach Michael Notebaert are excited to announce the addition of Paul Levy as one of the team’s volunteer assistant coaches ahead of the 2022 season. In his role of volunteer assistant, Levy will work with the first basemen and the pitchers, along with player development assignments.
Levy joins the Mariners after a long career in the private sector where he helped lead an early stage start-up that grew into the Global Office Ergonomics leader.
In his playing career, Levy spent four years on the pitching staff at Virginia Tech. He compiled a 21-7 record, including 31 starts and 16 complete games, 250.1 innings pitched and a 4.14 career ERA. He captained the 1981 team that finished 48-9 with an 11-1 record on the bump for the Hokies. At seasons end, he garnered First Team All-Metro Conference honors.
Levy graduated from Virginia Tech in 1981 with a degree in Education.
He and his wife Gail reside in Great Neck, N.Y. They have three children - Sam, Lauren and Mollie - and a granddaughter, Emmy.
