KINGS POINT, N.Y. (July 9, 2026) – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its 2026 Scholar All-Americans earlier this week, and two members of the USMMA men's lacrosse program received the prestigious honor – recent graduates
William Badeer (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and
Michael Hofstetter (Deer Park, N.Y.).
"We're incredibly proud of William and Michael for earning this well-deserved recognition," said fifth-year head coach
Dan Paccione. "They are outstanding representatives of our program and have established themselves as leaders both on the field and in the classroom. What they've accomplished while balancing the Academy's four pillars – academics, athletics, the regiment and sea year – is truly impressive, and this honor is a testament to their dedication and character."
Badeer and Hofstetter were both named to the All-Skyline First Team this season, while Badeer also became the Mariners' first USILA All-American since 2023 after earning Honorable Mention recognition in late May. The midfielder finished the year with 60 points on 46 goals and 14 assists while adding 29 ground balls. Hofstetter, a short-stick defensive middie who played a vital role in the Mariners' clearing game with his speed, recorded 47 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, one goal and three assists.
The duo also represented Kings Point at the USILA Senior All-Star Game in late May alongside fellow graduated senior
Michael Valentine IV (Massapequa Park, N.Y.).
