KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Jan. 17, 2026) – The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's swimming & diving team lost its rivalry matchup to Coast Guard on Saturday at the Sue Petersen Lubow Pool, 227-64. The defeat drops the Mariners' record to 7-4, while the Bears improve to 9-3 in victory.

Four Mariners earned season-best times throughout the meet. They are listed below.
- Freshman Natalie Scafetta (Menlo Park, Calif.) in both the 1000 freestyle by three seconds (11:08.36) and the 200 individual medley (2:19.70)
- Freshman Bryony Shipe (Ford City, Pa.) in both the 1000 free by seven seconds (11:16.76) and the 500 free by two seconds (5:31.56)
- Junior Kayleigh Rogers (Kodiak, Alaska) in the 50 free (28.15)
- And sophomore Molly O'Brien (Social Circle, Ga.) in the 200 breaststroke by one second (2:51.96)
Senior
Jessica Felske (East Troy, Wis.) earned the "Mariner of the Meet" honors, awarded based on a team vote to an individual for her performance and contribution to the team.
Up next for the Mariners is the 2026 Skyline Championship Meet next weekend, Jan. 24-25, up at Purchase College.
