FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (April 9, 2025) – The USMMA men's lacrosse team lost its road Skyline Conference contest at Farmingdale State College, 18-11, on Wednesday at FSC's Rams Field. Game Link
The game was pretty even throughout, except for the Rams using a 6-1 second quarter to build up a 9-4 halftime lead. That proved to be too much for Merchant Marine to overcome. Even though the Mariners battled the entire second half, they couldn't find that run to get back into the game.
Total shots were narrowly in favor of Farmingdale, 40-37, with USMMA actually holding a 25-24 advantage in shots on goal. The Mariners were a perfect 11-for-11 on clears, while the Rams were 17-for-20. FSC picked up more ground balls (42-33) and won more face-offs (20-13), though, to help contribute to their win, and their goalie finished the game with 14 saves.
