SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 1, 2025) – The USMMA men's swimming & diving team was represented by two divers, senior
Brendan Griffiths (Easton, Pa.) and junior
Thomas Cable (Litchfield Park, Ariz.), this weekend up at the NCAA Northeast-North Region Diving Championships hosted by Springfield College. The two Mariners competed in the three-meter event on Friday and the one-meter discipline on Saturday.

Regionals are held to determine which divers will qualify for the 2025 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.

Cable came in second place in the one-meter event on Saturday with a score of 462.25, a day after he placed fifth in the three-meter (475.80). Cable is likely to secure a spot at the National Championships.

Griffiths finished seventh in the three-meter on Friday with a score of 447.90 and placed 12th in the one-meter on Saturday (411.10).

Qualifiers are set to be announced on Monday, March 3.

The Mariners' qualified participants will return to the pool on March 19-22 in Greensboro, N.C., for the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.
