KINGS POINT, N.Y. (March 1, 2025) – The U.S. Merchant Marine baseball team fell in a pair of games in non-conference action to Ithaca on Saturday afternoon at Bartoszek Field. The Mariners dropped the opener 7-2 before a 13-10 decision in the finale.

- Kings Point uncorked a season-best 13 hits in game two, with five players recording multi-hit games.
- Vasquez unloaded a career-high four hits while classmate Luke Kruer (Sellersburg, Ind.), Millen, Chiappetti, and Clapsaddle all had two hits each.
- Kruer drove in a team-high three runs, while Clapsaddle and Vazquez had two RBIs.
- USMMA secured three doubles, one each from Millen, Chiappetti, and Vazquez.
Up next, Merchant Marine heads to the Sunshine State for their Spring Break trip, kicking off next Sunday, March 9, with a doubleheader against Monmouth (Ill.). First pitch for the doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m.
