Behr opened the scoring at 7:30 of the first quarter before Ring doubled the Merchant Marine lead late in the frame.
After Behr scored a man-up goal at 10:38 of the second, the Greyhounds went on a 3-0 run to tie the score up at 3-3 with 3:21 to go in the half. Behr found the twine two more times in the final three minutes, however and the Mariners went into the halftime break leading 5-3.
Merchant Marine had all the scoring in a quiet third quarter, as Collins, Emerick (man-up) and Perkins all tallied their first goals of the season to put the visitors up 8-3.
Moravian struck first just over a minute into the fourth quarter, but a string of five-straight goals by the Mariners put the game out of hand, as USMMA sailed to the eventual 13-6 victory.
The Greyhounds were led by senior Aaron Judge, who had a hat-trick with three tallies. Five other players found the scoresheet with one point apiece. Senior Kyle Weiss led Moravian with four ground balls, while classmate Jason Levy tied Schipfer with the game-high of three caused turnovers.
