KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Jan. 15, 2025) – On Wednesday night, the USMMA men's swimming & diving team defeated visiting Purchase College, 190-26, and St. Joseph's-Long Island, 190-68, in a home Skyline tri-meet at the Sue Petersen Lubow Pool. The two W's improved the Mariners' record to 7-0 (5-0 Skyline).

Meet Links Sophomore diver Charlie Williams (Vienna, Va.) hit his first NCAA qualifying mark of the season in a one-meter dive exhibition, as he produced a score of 430.87 in an 11-dive format. In the meet format (6-dives), Williams won both the one-meter (250.87) and the three-meter (180.90) diving events on the night.

A pair of Mariner swimmers also earned two victories apiece, as senior Joseph DeCarlo (Powder Springs, Ga.) touched first in both the 100 backstroke (54.81) and the 200 back (2:01.57) and junior Teague Mayer (Boulder, Colo.) won the 100 butterfly (52.88) and the 200 individual medley (1:56.60).

The 200 medley relay team of freshman Cody Lay (Bartlesville, Okla.), Mayer, sophomore Jacob Socarras (Winter Springs, Fla.) and freshman Trevor Dash (Ketchikan, Alaska) started off the night with victory in 1:43.16.
