(Nov. 5, 2024) – Thanks to a total of 21 service aces, the USMMA women's volleyball team won its Skyline Conference showdown with Yeshiva University, 3-0, on Tuesday night at Baruch's ARC Arena. The victory improved the Mariners' record to 17-6 (8-2 Skyline), while the Maccabees fall to 2-12 (0-9 Skyline) in defeat.

Maddie Mayer (Centennial, Colo.) led all players on the night with 10 kills and a .471 hitting percentage to go along with six aces. Classmates
Sophia Murray (Conroe, Texas) and
Sydney Douglas (Herndon, Va.) both contributed offensively with six kills apiece, with Murray adding a match-high seven aces and Douglas had three aces and tied for the match-high with 12 digs.

Sophomore setter
Alexa Tipps (Palmdale, Calif.) dished out a match-best 16 assists and added two aces, while freshman
Kylie Creech (Osceola, Ind.) had 14 assists and three aces.

For the Macs, Moriah Berkovitch led the way with five kills on .455 hitting. Shany Elmaleh recorded nine assists and Ashley Botnick picked up 12 digs.

The Mariners are back in action on Thursday night, Nov. 7, for their regular season home-finale against Purchase College. Opening serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Liebertz Gymnasium.
