Lloyd Smith was a four-year letter winner for the Kings Point track and field team.  Despite not coming out for the team until his junior year, he was considered the best runner to ever attend the Academy.  Smith earned All-America honors by placing second at the NCAA Championships in 1965 with a time of 4:05.6., a time which still stands as the Kings Point mile record.  He also placed third in the prestigious ICAAAA race, the biggest meet in the east, in the mile.  Smith also set school records in the half-mile and two-mile in is
