Morgan Reeser became the first graduate of Kings Point to win an Olympic Medal when he captured the silver in the men’s 470 class sailing event at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain. The field of 40 competitors represented the top sailors from around the world. His achievement was a life-long ambition and the culmination of eight years of training and international competition.
Perhaps the best small boat sailor to graduate from the Academy, Reeser’s talent was evident from the start. Consistent achievement during his four years led to four All-American awards. He was also named College Sailor of the Year in 1983 and 1984, the same year he led the Kings Point dinghy team to consecutive National Championships.
