Harold W. Krebs ‘91 was a four-year letterwinner in football and part of arguably one of the best defensive units in the history of the program. He received a plethora of honors for his work on and off the field. Krebs was the 1991 recipient of the Admiral Giles C. Stedman Trophy as well as the Hanley Naegle Award. Furthermore, the Scholar-Athlete Award winner was the NCAA Statistical Champion in 1990 for compiling ten interceptions, which is also a single season school record at the time of his graduation he held the school record for career interceptions (17). Krebs helped USMMA’s pass defense rank third nationally in the NCAA while the overall defense ranked ninth in the country that season. For his efforts, Krebs was named a First Team All-American and an ECAC Metro NY/NJ All-Star while also garnering All-Liberty Conference First Team Honors.
