John Bruckner ‘85 received four letters in football, two in basketball and one for baseball. The first and only solo team captain of the football program, Bruckner was a two-time Division III All-American and helped lead the club to its first ECAC Championship in 1984. He also won the Hanley Naegele Award, which is given out annually to the best defensive player, and held two school records for career interceptions and longest punt return for a touchdown at the time of his graduation. Off the field, Bruckner was recognized in the 1985 edition of Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges.
