Title: 1996 Recipient

The Blue & Gray Club established the Acta Non Verba Award to annually honor an individual who has gone far beyond expectations in his/her support of Kings Point Athletics. This dinner is the Blue & Gray Club's way of saying thank you to outstanding individuals who have helped Kings Point Athletics grow in prominence. This year’s recipient, Milt Nottingham, exemplifies what Acta Non Verba is all about.

Milt’s dedication is not limited just to Kings Point Athletics.  He was the National President of the Alumni Association from 196l to 1965 and was the Kings Pointer of the Year in 1974.  He has also been the main legislative representative of the Alumni Association for many years helping the Academy through its struggles and has been a strong advocate for an expanded Academy mission. Milt is currently the Chairman of the Alumni Government Affairs Committee, serves on the Board of Directors of Project ACTA, and a committee member of Vision 2000.

Milt has continually provided gracious hospitality to Academy teams competing in the Washington, DC area at his home, aptly referred to as the "Milton ". No group is too large or too small for a bar-b-que at Milt's house, in fact Kings Point Soccer has appointed Milt to the position of executive chef for their annual trip to the area. His support of the Blue & Gray Club through the years makes him truly deserving of this tremendous honor. There is no doubt that Milt will be remembered as a model Kings Point graduate and as an example that all midshipmen can follow.
