Andrea Morrison Competes At NYC Qualifying Challenge
May 12, 2008 - Andrea Morrison of the United States Merchant Marine Academy women's outdoor track and field team competed in the discus throw at the New York City Qualifying Challenge on Randall's Island this past Saturday. The event is held annually and gives student-athletes who have qualified or are close to qualifying for an upcoming championship meet one last chance to improve their times and marks.

May 3, 2008 - The United States Merchant Marine Academy women’s outdoor track and field team competed at the Kings Point Invitational on Saturday at Kings Point. Andrea Morrison, Danielle Casanova, Cristina Fernandez-O’Toole and Christine Jaszlics all participated in at least one event for the Mariners at the non-scoring meet.

Apr 27, 2008 - The United States Merchant Marine Academy women’s outdoor track and field team placed sixth with 20 points at the Landmark Conference Championships hosted by Moravian College on Sunday afternoon. Every Mariner set at least one personal record at the championship event. Moravian easily won the team title with 307.5 points.

The Mariners have 19 points. Andrea Morrison won the discus throw and broke the school record in the event, and Danielle Casanova also accumulated points for the Mariners. Moravian, the host school, leads the field with 109.5 points.

Apr 25, 2008 - The United States Merchant Marine Academy women's outdoor track and field team will head to Moravian College to compete in the Landmark Conference Championships on Apr. 26-27. Moravian, Catholic, Goucher, Juniata and Susquehanna will also field women's teams at the event which will crown champions in 19 individual events and two relays.
