Biography
Corbin Sutton enters his first season as the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s soccer assistant coach and men's tennis head coach.He came to the Academy after completing a one year stint as the assistant soccer coach at Lafayette College. While at Lafayette, the team made the Semifinals of the Patriot League Tournament. Sutton was in charge of all aspects of training, preparation and coaching of all workouts, the goalkeeper training sessions, live scouting and scouting reports. He was also the team travel coordinator, responsible for meals, transportation and lodging needs as well as the alumni and special events coordinator.
His coaching experience extends to a coaching stint at DePauw University and Northwestern University. Before being the men’s assistant coach at Lafayette, Sutton was the men’s assistant coach at DePauw University for two seasons and before that completed a one year campaign as the assistant coach at Northwestern University. In 2007, he received his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma for coaching. Sutton received a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in Psychology in 2001 where he was also a four-year starter for the Tigers. In his four years the Tigers went 55-14-4 and made two NCAA Tournament appearances. He also served as a co-captain his senior year.

He has worked in a variety of capacities at both the Division I and Division III levels and has recruited extensively for strong academic and athletic programs. He also played at a high level of Division III soccer and will be able to relate well to our student/athletes. We’re excited with his addition and feel he will help our programs both on and off the field.”
