– On Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s lacrosse
team stumbled against Skidmore College, 13-6, at Brooks Stadium in
Kings Point,
N.Y.
The Mariners’ four goals scored in the final quarter of regulation were not
enough to overcome the deficit. With the victory, Skidmore improved to 4-1 on

– On Wednesday evening, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s lacrosse team
walked onto the field at Brooks Stadium donning green warm-up jerseys in honor
of St. Patrick’s Day. The Mariners were led by fellow midshipman Foster Hardt,
who played homage to the Irish holiday by serenading the crowd with bagpipes. When
all the festivities concluded, Kings Point squared off against the Privateers
from across the pond for the right to take home the Hagedorn Cup. Senior attack
Brian Flannery helped that cause as he netted four goals and dished out three assists (a
