Four Lacrosse Players Garner All-Landmark Honors
May 1, 2008 - Junior defender Michael Condron, junior attack Brennan Dougherty, sophomore attack Brian Flannery and senior midfielder Ryan Merritt of the United States Merchant Marine Academy lacrosse team were honored by the Landmark Conference when the league released its postseason awards on Wednesday afternoon. Condron, Dougherty and Merritt were each named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team, while Flannery was named to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team. The four individuals helped the Mariners earn one of the four bids to the Landmark Conference Tournament this past spring.

Lacrosse Concludes Season Against Drew In Landmark Tournament
Apr 30, 2008 - Ryan Merritt netted a hat trick in his last career game and Robert Boyd made 13 saves in his final appearance for the blue and gray, but the United States Merchant Marine Academy took a 9-7 loss to Drew University in the Landmark Conference Tournament on Wednesday night. The Mariners never trailed until the final minute of the game when Drew broke a 7-7 tie with two goals just 13 seconds apart to seal the victory.

Lacrosse Begins Quest For Landmark Championship This Week
Apr 28, 2008 - The fourth-seeded United States Merchant Marine Academy lacrosse team begins its quest for its first Landmark Conference Championship and second straight league tournament title overall on Wednesday night at top-seeded Drew University. The Mariners pulled out a thrilling 11-10 victory in overtime when the teams most recently met in Madison, N.J. back on Apr. 16. The winner of the 7 p.m. game advances to the championship match, which will be played on Saturday against the winner of the other semifinal between second-seeded Goucher and third-seeded Scranton. A live radio broadcast will also be available for Mariner fans who can’t make the game.

Apr 26, 2008 - Junior co-captain Brennan Dougherty netted a hat trick, but the United States Merchant Marine Academy lacrosse team took a 15-4 loss to No. 20 nationally-ranked Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. on Saturday evening. The Mariners played the Dutchmen close for three quarters, but Union scored seven unanswered goals to start the game en route to the win.
Lacrosse Concludes Regular Season At No. 20 Union On Saturday
Apr 25, 2008 - Before competing in the Landmark Conference Tournament next week, the United States Merchant Marine Academy lacrosse team will face one more test on Saturday when it travels to the Capital District to face No. 20 nationally-ranked Union. The Mariners stand 8-7 overall while the Dutchmen are 10-3 overall. Game time is slated for 2 p.m.
SUNY Maritime Beats Lacrosse, 18-10
Apr 23, 2008 - Brennan Dougherty and Robert De Pol each had a hat trick, but the United States Merchant Marine Academy lacrosse team took an 18-10 loss against SUNY Maritime at Captain Tomb Field on Wednesday evening. Trailing 5-4 midway through the second quarter, the Privateers scored four straight goals and never looked back the rest of the game.
