Mariners Fall 10-9 In Overtime In NCAA First Round
May 6, 2009 - Brian Flannery netted two goals and dished out one assist as the Mariners fell 10-9 in overtime to Eastern Connecticut State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game included eight ties and three lead changes. Tyler Spaulding added two goals for the Mariners and Brennan Dougherty handed out two assists. Keegan Boyle finished the game with 19 saves.

May 5, 2009 - Senior Brennan Dougherty of the United States Merchant Marine Academy lacrosse team was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Year. The announcement was made by the conference office this afternoon.

Four Mariners Named Lacrosse All-Conference
May 5, 2009 - Brennan Dougherty, Michael Condron and Brian Flannery were all named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team for the 2009 Season. Senior Robert De Pol earned All-Landmark Conference Second Team. The Mariners coaching staff that consists of Head Coach Tom Gill, assistant coaches Doug Dwyer, Brad Hay, John Espey and Kyle Simensky were named Landmark Coaching Staff of the Year.

May 4, 2009 - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy lacrosse team is heading to the NCAA Tournament with a Pool B bid. The Mariners will also be hosting their first round tournament game against Eastern Connecticut State. Game time is slated for 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 6th.
