Calder Kaatz And Derrick Ventre Honored By Liberty League
Nov 12, 2007 - Calder Kaatz and Derrick Ventre of the United States Merchant Marine Academy football team earned weekly honors by the Liberty League today for their roles in the Mariners’ 37-32 victory over Susquehanna. Kaatz earned Liberty League C-Defensive Player of the Week honors while Ventre was named the Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

Football Concludes Season With A 37-32 Win At Susquehanna
Nov 10, 2007 - Derrick Ventre threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another score to lead the United States Merchant Marine Academy football team to a 37-32 victory over Susquehanna in Selinsgrove, Pa. on Saturday afternoon. The Mariners took a 14-13 lead at the tail end of the second quarter courtesy of a 21-yard touchdown reception by tri-captain Michael Stuart and would never look back.

Nov 9, 2007 - The United States Merchant Marine Academy football team plays its final game of the 2007 season on the road this Saturday when it matches up with Susquehanna for the first time ever. The Mariners are coming off a tough loss to St. Lawrence in the Hoffman Cup on Saturday despite getting three field goals from Geoff Troy, which included a school record kick from 54 yards away. Meanwhile, the Crusaders are coming off a thrilling 8-7 win over WPI last week. Susquehanna's touchdown came on the final play of regulation and was followed up with a successful two-point conversion. Game time is 1:30 p.m.

The announcement was made by the conference office earlier this afternoon. This is the first time Troy has been honored by the Liberty League this season.
St. Lawrence Wins Hoffman Cup Over Football, 40-16
Nov 3, 2007 - Geoff Troy hit three field goals, which included breaking his own school record with a kick from 54 yards out, but the United States Merchant Marine Academy football team took a 40-16 loss to St. Lawrence in the Hoffman Cup on Saturday afternoon. Troy was named the Team MVP for his efforts while St. Lawrence running back Conor Hackett picked up the other Team MVP award after finishing with four touchdowns, 182 yards rushing and 72 yards receiving.
