Michael Notebaert Named Coach "O" Coach of the Year
Jun 24, 2009 - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy baseball coach, Michael Notebaert, was named the 2008-2009 Coach Omeltchenko Coach of the Year for the Academy. The award was given to Coach Notebaert by Superintendent RADM Allen B. Worley and Athletics Director Susan Peterson Lubow at the Varsity Awards Ceremony.

May 19, 2009 - Senior David May and junior Mike Bybee were named to the ABCA/Rawlings New York All-Region First Team. The selections were announced Tuesday morning.

Two Mariners Named Baseball All-Conference
May 11, 2009 - Senior David May was named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team for the 2009 Season while junior Mike Bybee earned All-Landmark Conference Second Team honors. The Mariners coaching staff that consists of Head Coach Michael Notebaert and Assistant Coach John Dolecki were named Landmark Coaching Staff of the Year.

Mariners Fall In ECAC Tournament To Ramapo
May 8, 2009 - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy baseball team lost to Ramapo College, 7-2 in the ECAC Tournament semifinals. The loss ends the Mariners 2009 season but not after the team left its mark in the school record books. Mike Bybee led the way for the Mariners going 3-for-4 with one run batted in and one walk. David May pitched in going 1-for-4 with a solo homerun.
Baseball Takes The Two Seed For ECAC Tournament
May 4, 2009 - The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy baseball team was selected as the number two seed in the ECAC Tournament. The Mariners will host Ramapo in the first round of the tournament on Friday, May 8th at 3:30 pm.
David May Named Landmark Player Of The Week
May 4, 2009 - Senior David May of the United States Merchant Marine Academy baseball team was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the conference office this morning. This is the second week in a row that May has been honored by the Conference.
